Description
The English Rose AUSmound, originally introduced as ‘Lilian Austin’, is admired for its soft pink blooms highlighted with gentle apricot undertones and its relaxed, romantic garden character. The large flowers open to an average diameter of about 3.5 inches (9 cm) and display a soft, open, peony-like appearance. The petals are lightly waved and ruffled, often giving the blooms a delightfully informal and slightly untidy charm.
The flowers are semi-double to nearly double and are produced in small clusters of three to eleven blooms at a time, creating a continuous and generous display. This variety carries a pleasant, fruity fragrance and forms a vigorous, upright shrub that flowers freely and continuously throughout the growing season. With its long-lasting bloom production, graceful form, and inviting coloration, AUSmound remains a rewarding and distinctive English rose for borders and mixed plantings.
